Top Left: Manta rays like this one are common at these islands. Top Center: The shadowy figure beyond these tuna is a large hammer-head shark. Divers encountered 2 species of hammer-head. The great hammer-head (shown) and the scalloped hammer-head. Top Right: Bottle nose dolphins followed us around at each of the islands. They were welcome companions. Bottom Left: This large (2 meters) spotted ray looks alien as it swims. Bottom Center: A viper moray eel brandishes it's teeth from it's hiding place. Bottom Right: This dragon moray was not expected to be encountered here. This sighting may extend it's known range. |
